I've been meaning to get around learning the F temperature scale. Geez, is there ANYTHING Americans don't measure by another standard?

Ive just heard yesterday that the Taiwanese have a different standard of measurement. Their inch is suppose to be about 3.5cm long compared to the American inch of 2.5cm long.

That's no good! In stead of saying "6 inches", they should call it "a little over 4"?

Nah. I once read that's actually the average size, but I suspect someone made that up to comfort people.
Or, to say to his girlfriend: "see? I'm almost average!"
